Engine Assembly

The build of a component is a specialization in the trade. Although the fundamentals and operation of an engine is taught in the trade, it does not fully equip a person to become an engine assembler. 

  • Qualified artisans wanting to specialize in component building.
  • Qualified Artisan
  • It is assumed that the learner has already learned the use of measuring equipment, understands workings principles of mechanical components and systems. It is also assumed that the learner knows how to maintain a safe and productive working environment.
  • It is assumed that the learner be competent in Mathematical literacy and Communication at NQF Level 1.

Transmission Assembly

  • The build of a component is a specialization in the trade. Although the fundamentals and operation of a transmission is taught in the trade, it does not fully equip a person to become a transmission assembler.
